Welcome to Canada
On arrival at Vancouver International Airport you will be met by our local representative and you will be transferred to hotel.
Day is free, for you to explore the city at your own pace.
Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities. A popular filming location, it’s surrounded by mountains, and also has thriving art, theatre and music scenes. Vancouver Art Gallery is known for its works by regional artists, while the Museum of Anthropology houses preeminent First Nations collections.

After breakfast, proceed on Vancouver City Tour with Capilano Suspension Bridge Tour. See spectacular waterfront landmarks including Canada Place, Robson Street for shopping, English Bay, Stanley Park, Granville Island, Chinatown and Gastown. Later crossing Lions Gate Bridge, look-out for British Property's exclusive homes and proceed to visit Capilano Salmon Hatchery continue to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, a suspension bridge crossing the Capilano River. Other attractions at Capilano include a heart-stopping Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure. Overnight in Vancouver hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit FlyOver Canada, a 4D show experiencing a gentle ride. Chairlift-style seats are elevated before a large spherical screen creating an illusion of flying over the landscapes.

After breakfast, check-out, transfer to Vancouver Airport to connect to Whitehorse. Upon arrival at the Whitehorse airport you will be greeted by a local representative of Northern Tales Travel Services who will welcome you to the Yukon and transfer you to your hotel. Once you have checked in, you will receive an orientation meeting describing what to expect during your stay. The rest of the day is yours until your first evening viewing of the Aurora Borealis. The Aurora Borealis, commonly known as the Northern Lights, is a spectacle of magnetic and electrical charges in the air, coloring the sky a multitude of majestic hues. Tonight is your first chance to view this spectacular show. Departing the hotel at 2200 Hours in groups, you will be taken to a prime viewing area and treated to snacks and hot drinks during your viewing. Contemplate the sublime beauty of this fascinating array of blues, reds, greens and violets in this idyllic setting as you relax in a cozy heated cabin or walled tent. Return to the hotel at approximately 0230 Hours. You will have another opportunity for viewing tomorrow evening.
***Please note, passengers arriving later than 2030 Hours should take the complimentary airport shuttle bus to the hotel. They will miss the first night of Aurora Viewing.
Whitehorse is the capital of northwest Canada’s Yukon territory. To the south are the basalt cliffs of Miles Canyon, site of a former gold rush town. From the canyon, the Yukon River Loop Trail winds north past the Whitehorse Fishway fish ladder toward the S.S. Klondike, a restored sternwheeler that once plied the Yukon River. North, the Takhini Hot Pools’ mineral springs offer views of the northern lights in winter.
On the morning of day 4, you are treated to a tour of the scenic city of Whitehorse, a former gold rush settlement set against a stunning backdrop of mountains. Discover the highlights of this town such as Main Street, the Train Depot of White Pass, Log Skyscraper, and Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, fish ladders and Schwatka Lake. Each day you are free to relax in the warm comfort of the hotel or book an optional activity such as dogsledding, ice fishing, flightseeing or snowshoeing. You will have an opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis every evening of your stay. While waiting for the lights to appear, guests are invited to sit at a roaring bonfire, roast marshmallows, have tea and hot chocolate, chat with local guides, try out snowshoeing, tobogganing on a small hill.
The Aurora is an incredible light show caused by collisions between electrically charged particles released from the sun that enter the earth's atmosphere and collide with gases such as oxygen and nitrogen. The lights are seen around the magnetic poles of the northern and southern hemispheres.
Overnight in Whitehorse.
Today, you will visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve** (admission included), where you’ll have the opportunity to view and photograph wildlife in its natural habitat. Dall sheep, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, mule deer, wapiti (elk), woodland caribou, wood bison, musk-ox, moose and even lynx can all seen on this tour, usually up close! To cap off a great day, you will also travel to the nearby Takhini Hot Springs** (admission included). The outdoor hot springs pool provides a warm sanctuary amid the cold weather and is a must-do activity while visiting Whitehorse!

The Yukon Wildlife Preserve is a unique wildlife viewing property featuring 13 species of northern Canadian mammals in their natural environment.
Takhini Hot Springs is a natural hot springs located just outside the border of Whitehorse, Yukon. It is a locally run business which incorporates two pools at different temperatures and has a campground with over 80 sites
Overnights in Whitehorse.
Today your northern experience comes to an end as you check out of your hotel. The driver will pick you up and drop you to the airport for your onward flight.
